A puzzle is solved when the numbers 1 through to 9 appear only once in each row and column of the board and once in each of the smaller grids also. Some golden numbered hearts are already present in their correct positions when the game starts to assist in solving the puzzle and cannot be moved or changed. When the puzzle is complete within the given time limit a large 'solved heart' will appear and the puzzle is solved, at which point the player will be taken to the very next puzzle.
